Perry was born in Reedsport, Oregon, March 9, 1939 and attended Reedsport High. After graduation he joined the military serving 23 years in The United States Army and the United States Air Force. From 1968 to 1969 he served in Da Nang, Vietnam. In 1980 he moved to the beautiful White Mountain first living in Show Low then moving on to the Concho, Vernon area. He worked at Phillip-Shell as a cashier until 2009. John is survived by his wife Teresa Kay of 44 years of Vernon, Arizona; his loving daughter, Teresa Suzanne Wright, of Show Low, Arizona; one brother, Chuck Perry of Reedsport, Oregon; sisters, Carolyn Patch of Eatonville, Washington, and Sunni Savey of Reedsport, Oregon. A memorial mass will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at St. Rita's Catholic Church 1400 E. Owens, Show Low, Arizona. Owens Livingston Mortuary - White Mountain Chapel handled the arrangements.
