Sadie Loraine Sherman, of Overgaard, Navajo County, Arizona peacefully passed away February 4, 2013 at her home in Overgaard. She was 78. Sadie was born to the late Lowell and Ethel Jewell (Ray) Bailey in South Mayde, Harris County, Texas on October 25, 1934. Sadie could do anything and everything. A tough lady she had many jobs throughout her life but mostly she worked as a telephone operator. A active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served in various callings throughout the church but she enjoyed serving in the family history center the most. She is survived by her sons, James R. Sherman and wife, Arline, Michael L. Sherman; daughters, Denise Immerwahr and husband George, Judy Cook and husband, Darell, Sylvia Hays, Karen Stoner and husband, Kent and Gloria Robbins and husband J. "Evan"; brother, Kenneth Wayne Bailey and wife, Jeanne and well as 18 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, James "Walter" Sherman and a daughter, Sheila Waldon. Funeral services will be held at 11:30AM Saturday February 9, 2013 at the Heber Wards Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Highway 260, in Heber with a viewing beginning at 11:00AM. Interment will be at the Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
