Jerry Gordon Byrd

Jerry Gordon Byrd, of Taylor, Navajo County, Arizona passed away surrounded by his loving family on January 25, 2013 at his home in Taylor. He was 71. Jerry was born to the late Clarence Byrd and Juanajene (Gaines) Tranter on July 14, 1941 in Mesa, Maricopa County, Arizona. A veteran of the United States Navy, Jerry served from 1960-1964 before being honorably discharged. Following his time in the service, Jerry and his wife, Trinidad Sanchez Byrd, moved to California where they resided for nearly 30 years before moving back to Taylor. Jerry loved everything outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, and his annual jeep rides. A loving husband, father and grandfather he will be deeply missed. He is survived by his wife, Trini Byrd of Taylor, Arizona; daughter, Cynthia Renee Randall of Rancho Cuca Monga, California; son, Jerry G. Byrd Jr. of Taylor, Arizona; twin grandchildren, Andrew and James Randall of California; brother, Donald Collier of Lakeside, Arizona and a sister, Charlotte Maxine Collier also of Lakeside. Private services will be held.
