Michelle Ann "Shelly" Hutchins died in the very early morning hours of Monday, January 14, 2013 at home in Taylor, Navajo County, Arizona following a lengthy illness. She was 37 years old. Shelly was born on November 20, 1975 in Show Low, Navajo County, Arizona to her parents, Eddie Clyde and Patricia Rosalita (Saiz) Hutchins.
Shelly loved to work with kids and she made it her life's goal to serve their needs. She was Director for Carousel Day Care & Pre-School in Snowflake for many years. In fact, she began working there at the tender age of 16. She was a gifted teacher in Special Education and was always a reliable strength to those she worked with. Shelly truly had a sweet way of working with her little friends and anyone who knew her would say "She was great with kids!"
Shelly was a wonderful mother to her children and they were the greatest gifts of her life. She loved to spend as much time with them as she could and always enjoyed being the one that they called "Mom." Shelly, too, always had a deep appreciation for her parents as well as her sister and brothers and nieces and nephews. Some of the happiest times spent with her family were spent fishing and camping with them. They always had a blast on their expeditions together. Shelly also was a "great cook" and will always be remembered for her delicious cheesecakes, birthday cakes and tacos. Another of Shelly's talents could be found on the dance floor. She could always make others smile whenever they watched her ballerina dance steps or watched her tap dance. She was very good and taught many others to dance over the years. Everyone whomever has had the privilege to know her will miss her a great deal but, they are so grateful for the special times they've shared with her.
Shelly is survived by her 2 children: Chaz Cardwell of Taylor, Arizona, Kegan Cardwell of Taylor, Arizona; parents, Eddie & Patricia Hutchins of Snowflake, Arizona; brothers: Michael (Shannon) Hutchins of Taylor, Arizona, Mark (Janine) Hutchins of Meridian, Idaho; sister, Gina (Trever) Willis of Taylor, Arizona; grandmother, Nellie Saiz of Snowflake, Arizona; aunts & uncles: Pete Saiz, Pyllis (Larry) Chaves, Yvonne (Tino) Lopez, Kenny (Margie) Hutchins, Nancy Taylor, Helen Velasquez, Connie Trautwein; nieces & nephews: Ryan Allen (Kristen DeSoto), Bentley Allen, Nicholas Allen, Matthew Hutchins, Katelyn "Katy Jo" Hutchins, Steven Hutchins, Shannon Willis, Shane Willis, Shad Willis, Madison Hutchins and Jessica Hutchins.
