Robert William Gonsalves

Robert (Bob) William Gonsalves, 86, of Snowflake, AZ passed away peacefully on December 18, 2012. Bob was born on March 10, 1926 in Red Bluff, California. He was raised around Red Bluff & graduated from Red Bluff High School in 1945. He served 2 years in the US Army Air Corp. He married Mary Anna Storrs in 1947 and they lived in Gerber, CA until 1953 when at that time they moved to Flagstaff, AZ. In 1954 they moved to Snowflake, AZ to start a business, Western Moulding Co., and that is where they raised their family. Bob & Mary retired to Tempe, AZ and then to Sun Lakes, AZ. Bob was on the town council in Snowflake for many years. He was on the board of directors for Fort Apache Timber Co. (FATCO). He had a pilot's license and loved to fly. He was always willing to help anyone in need. He was a caring and loving person to all and we certainly will miss him. Bob Gonsalves is survived by his four sons Richard, Don & wife Debbie, Jim and wife Tracy, and John W. Gonsalves. He is also survived by his brother John A. Gonsalves and wife Saralu. Also two sisters-in-law Alice and husband Gene Kinne, and Edith Chittenden. Bob has 4 sons, 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at the Our Lady of the Snow Catholic Church in Snowflake, AZ. A graveside blessing will follow at the R.V. "Mike" Ramsay Memorial Cemetery in Snowflake.
