While living in the White Mountains, Roy began a second career working for The U.S. Forest Service. He helped thin the trees on hundreds of acres in the forests that surround Pinedale. He loved living in the White Mountains and always had a great time bow hunting and fishing at any one of his favorite fishing holes in the mountains. Roy also had a great love of horses and enjoyed breaking the family horses over the years. Roy was a dedicated family man. He was a devoted husband, loving father and doting grandfather to his large family and will be missed a great deal by them. He is also survived by his former wife, Bonnie Grubbs of Goodyear, Arizona. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Blanche Ann Spivey Reddin in January of 2005. Private family services will be held when he is laid to rest alongside his sweet wife, Blanche, at the Burton Cemetery in Burton, Arizona. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to the Serenity Hospice and Palliative Care, 4122 N 17th St., Phoenix, Arizona 85016 in Roy's name.
