Edward Sam Kostelny

Edward Sam Kostelny, died on Wednesday, October 31, 2012 in Show Low, Arizona from causes incident to his age. He was 87 years old. Ed, as he was affectionately known, was born on August 30, 1925 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois to the late Samuel and Ann (Michelino) Kostelny. Ed moved to Arizona in 1960. In 1967 he married the former Violet Murphy Abernathy. Together they had 2 very special sons, whom were a source of unconditional love and joy throughout their lives. Ed worked hard his whole life as an expert auto mechanic and many benefited from his skilled talent. He could fix, and build, just about anything mechanical and always enjoyed tinkering in his shop. Ed is survived by his 2 sons: Edward and Randy of Springerville, Arizona; nephew, Gary (Pam) Kostelny of Mesa, Arizona; 2 nieces: Susan Deroche of Antioch, Illinois, Vickie Moody of Glendale, Arizona and dear friends, Kevin and Tammy Weaver of Show Low, Arizona. Along with his parents, Ed was preceded in death by his wife, Violet Kostelny; brother, George Kostelny and sister, Evelyn Winters. The memorial service will begin 11:00 A.M., Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Owens Livingston Mortuary - White Mountain Chapel, 320 N. 9th Street in Show Low, Arizona. Memorial contributions to "Meals on Wheels", 301 E. McNeil, Show Low, Arizona 85901 have been suggested by his family.
