Tyrundo Gushoney, of Whiteriver, Navajo County, Arizona passed away October 23, 2012 in Phoenix, Maricopa County, Arizona. He was 48. Tyrundo was born to Ranor Sr. and Erma (Brooks) Gushoney on May 21, 1964 in Whiteriver, Navajo County, Arizona. Tyrundo was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He enjoyed the true beauty of nature and loved the peacefulness he felt while in the outdoors. He loved to hike and go antler hunting. A man with a unique sense of humor he always had everyone laughing, even on the worst day. He enjoyed watching cartoons and loved Sponge Bob. A true family man he loved to spend time with his grandkids. An avid sports fan he loved basketball, football, baseball and loved to watch golf. He enjoyed reading and doing soduku puzzles. He worked for the White Mountain Apache Tribe in various positions. He worked for the Game and Fish department, Sunrise lodge where he helped build the Apache Peak Lodge, as a heavy equipment operator in land operations and was a firefighter for many years where he worked in Idaho and Montana. On November 6, 1999 he married the love of his life, Linda Altaha, at the Whiteriver Lutheran Church in Whiteriver. He is survived by his wife, Linda of Whiteriver, Arizona; 3 daughters, Maureen Nachu of Lakeside, Arizona, Robin Nachu of Whiteriver, Frankie Nachu of Whiteriver; son, Lionel (Wynette) Nachu of Whiteriver; grandchildren, Kordell, Kara, Alissa, Darian, Sean, Jason, Brook, Jordan, Bryant, Claire, Nicole; sister, Norma (Jeff) Kitcheyan of Whiteriver, Erina Gushoney of Phoenix, Erna Gushoney of Whiteriver, Misty Gushoney of Whiteriver; brothers, Jared Gushoney of Whiteriver, Tyrone (Jessie) Gushoney of Whiteriver and Wilbert Gushoney of Whiteriver. A two night wake will be held on Thursday November 1, 2012 at the family home, 1175 N Yucca Flats, in Whiteriver at 10:00AM. Funeral services will be held on Saturday November 3, 2012 at the North Fork Miracle Church in North Fork at 10:00AM. Interment will take place in the Whiteriver Cemetery.
