Wallace Selby age 91, died October 23, 2012 at his home here in the White Mountains. He was born in Kansas City, Missouri March 24, 1921. He graduated from high school in 1939. Following school he met and married Lois Smith, November 22, 1940. They made their home in Kansas City. Wally, as he was affectionately known as, was in the Army during World War II. When he returned from the war, he moved his family to Phoenix for a brief period before moving to Monte Vista, Colorado. They stayed in Colorado for 18 months before moving back to Phoenix where they made their home for 51 years. Wally was a pressman in the printing industry for many years. He changed careers and retired from the post office in 1983. After retiring they moved to the White Mountains to be near family. Wally is survived by his son Scott Selby and his wife Elaine; three grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife Lois Julia Selby and his son Kristin Ross Selby. The funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, October 27, 2012 at Mountain Pines Baptist Church, 1838 West Commerce Drive, Lakeside, Arizona where the visitation will begin one hour prior to the service.
