Claryn Lee Hamstra-Acuna died Sunday morning, September 28, 2012 at her home at White Mountain Lake, Navajo County, Arizona following a lengthy illness. She was 61 years old. Claryn was born on February 21, 1951 in California to her parents and has lived in Arizona the past 13 years. She worked for the U.S. Postal Service for many years and proved herself to be a dedicated and faithful public servant. Claryn loved nature. She was a font of knowledge when it came to natural history. She was well educated in archeology and was drawn toward native American History and had a keen and vast knowledge of Native American Indian Heritages and their artifacts. She also had a beautiful collection of pottery. Claryn is survived by her husband, Florencio S. Acuna, Jr. of White Mountain Lake, Arizona and other family members.
