Doris Kathrin Rowley died Monday night, October 1, 2012 in Lakeside, Navajo County, Arizona at the Sierra Blanca Nursing Center. She was 90 years old. She was born April 8, 1922 in Lansing, Ingham County, Michigan to the late Orvil and Esther Hoadley. In her younger years Doris was a "Big Band" singer and traveled all over the country with the bands. She met one of her life's greatest loves, Robert Edwin "Bob" Rowley at Michigan Bell Telephone Company and married him on April 8, 1973. They moved to Sedona, Arizona in 1987. In 2001 they moved to Show Low, Arizona, where they have since resided. Doris was a member of the "Red Hat Society" and enjoyed the companionship of her friends in that group. Doris loved to travel all around the country with Bob. This beautiful lady, who was so full of life, was loved by many but, none will miss her more than her own family. Doris is survived by: her husband, Bob Rowley of Show Low, Arizona; 3 children: Scott Brayton of Maryland, Deborah (Jim) Nelson of North Branch, Michigan, Patricia (Steve) Hinson of Grand Blanc, Michigan; 2 grandchildren: Alexandra and Montgomery Hinson. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will begin 10:00 A.M., Saturday, October 6, 2012 at St. Rita's Catholic Church, 1400 E. Owens in Show Low, Arizona where The Rev. Fr. Joe Blonski will celebrate the mass.
