Dorothy Louise Searle Dorothy Louise Searle, loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, passed away Thursday, July 19, 2012 in Show Low, Arizona at the age of 85. She was born July 28, 1926 in Townsen, Oklahoma to Columbus "Lum" Joseph Mathews and Mamie Becker Mathews. Dorothy was an awesome and incredible lady who was the "Perfect Monarch" to her family. She loved camping, fishing, gardening, sewing, quilting, being a homemaker and she especially loved doing yard work and caring for her flower gardens. Dorothy was an avid reader, especially when it came to westerns. She started the R. and M. Variety Store in Pinetop, then worked at the Bushmans Variety Store in Snowflake and finally worked for 15 years at Snowflake Drug. She is survived by 3 children: Dena Packard of Mesa, Arizona Wanda Beasley of Show Low, Arizona, and Marsha Searle of Queen Creek, Arizona, she is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband Fred "Blackie" Searle, a daughter, Judy Parkinson, one granddaughter, Diana Merritt, and her parents. A memorial service will be held 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at the Owens Livingston Mortuary - White Mountain Chapel 320 N. 9th Street, Show Low, Arizona.
