John Kenneth Schattenberg

John Kenneth Schattenberg, 84 of Scottsdale, AZ passed away quietly in Heber, Arizona on July 2nd, 2012. John was born in Chicago, IL November 16, 1927 and lived there until he moved to Arizona in 1964. When he was 18, John joined the army and was a proud veteran of World War II. He worked hard for his family and spent many years at the Powill Manufacturing Company. John married Rowena and enjoyed their years together, spending lots of time at the Scottsdale Senior Center. John is survived by his wife Rowena; 2 sons, John Jr. (Michelle) and Sam (Robin), 6 grandsons, and 10 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at the Heber Arizona Cemetery, July 4th at 9 am. Rev. Randall Wurschmidt of the Faith Evangelical Luthern Church will conduct the services and Owens Livingston Mortuary of Show Low is handling the arrangements.
