Rosemary Harris

November 30, 1930 — June 28, 2012

Rosemary Harris, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many, passed from this life on Thursday, June 28, 2012 in Pinetop, Arizona. Rosemary was born in Texas and spent many years on the farm, helping JR and raising 3 children, Gary, Sharon and Mark. JR left farming and went to work in the oilfields around Artesia, New Mexico. After 5 years there, JR and Rosemary moved to Farmington, New Mexico where JR worked in the oil field and Rosemary worked as a title clerk at Smoke Chevrolet. After 3 years they moved back to Muleshoe, Texas and JR farmed until 1970 when they moved to Denver, CO. While in Denver she worked and received her real estate license and worked in the area until JR was transferred to Worland, Wyoming. While there she went to school and got her real estate broker's license and appraiser's license and opened her own office. They then moved to Rock Springs, Wyoming where she opened Harris Realty and worked until retiring in 1992 and moving to Lake Havasu, Arizona. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, JR; son, Gary and his wife, Helen of Highlands Ranch, CO, daughter, Sharon and her husband, Doug of Chandler, AZ and son, Mark and his wife, Theresa of Westminster, CO. Also survived by her grandchildren, Stephanie Plank, Jennifer Patterson, Matthew Harris, Christopher Harris, Glen Fletcher and Diane Bishop. She had 9 great-grandchildren: Katelyn, Madison, Mackenzie and newborn Easton that she never got to meet, Jacob, Tyler, Jessica, Nick and Amanda. She has on brother, Jesse and one sister, Joyce and many nieces and nephews living in Texas. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Alfred and Kenneth and a sister, Claudia. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Lake Havasu, Arizona since moving there and attended First Baptist Church in Pinetop, Arizona during the summer months when they would stay at their RV in the White Mountains of Arizona. They loved the cool evenings and afternoon showers. They were members of the Lake Havasu Campers and participated in many camping trips with the club. The family would like to thank you so much for all your kind words, thoughts and prayers. Please feel free to post memories and pictures on this site for the family to see. The Memorial Service for Rosemary will be Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at 10:30 A.M. at Calvary Baptist Church in Lake Havasu, Arizona.
