Thomas Roy Bovingdon, 52, went to be with the Lord the morning of May 6, 2012. Tom loved life and everyone in it. He never met anyone he didn't like and captured hearts everywhere he went. He was one of Heaven's very special people and made every life he touched brighter. Tom was born April 14, 1960, in Evergreen Park, Illinois, to Carolyn and Roy Bovingdon. He is survived by his sisters: Dawn Bovingdon of Walnut Creek, Calif., Robin Elgin (Kenneth) of Glendale, Wendy Harrington (Andrew) of Peoria; grandmother Lorraine Lode of Peoria; three nieces: Brittney Harshman, Brooke Martin, Jaden Harrington; and two nephews: Kenneth Elgin and Joshua Harrington; uncles and aunts: Teddy and Marilyn Collmar, Gregory and Bonnie Spak, William and Dolly Lode, Norman Powell and a large extended family. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 12, at the New Hope Christian Fellowship, meeting at the American Indian Christian Mission Chapel two blocks south of Hwy 260 at Mission Lane Road in Linden, Arizona. There will be an additional service beginning at 6:30 P.M. Friday, May 18, 2012 at the Vineyard Christian Fellowship, 5034 West Greenway, Glendale, Arizona. Donations may be made to the Show Low Special Olympics in Thomas honor.
