Mable Henderson

Mable Henderson, of Lakeside, Navajo County, Arizona passed away on Sunday April 22, 2012 at her home in Lakeside. Mable was born to the late William and Oneal (Brown) Leslie on July 17, 1923 in Lilly, Ouachita County, Louisiana. An avid sports fan, Mable loved to support her hometown teams, the Phoenix Suns and the Arizona Diamondbacks, but enjoyed the television show The Young and the Restless even more. Many times she would watch the show day and night. She was a cook for the White Mountain Country Club and the McNary School system. Mable loved to call the White Mountains her home and she will be missed by all her many friends here on the Mountain. She is survived by her sisters, Olevia Brooks of Lakeside, Arizona, Mae Frances Alderson (Walter) of California, Joenell Russell (Jewell) of Phoenix, Arizona as well as a host of nieces, nephews and cousins that will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Henderson; sister, Willie Mae Catlett and a nephew, Coleman Lee. Funeral services will be held 1:00PM Friday May 4, 2012 at the Blooming Grove Baptist Church in Lakeside, Arizona. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the services. Interment will follow in the Lakeside Cemetery, Lakeside, Arizona.
