Donna Lee Dwyer died on Friday, April 13, 2012 in Show Low, Arizona following a lengthy illness. She was 71 years old. Donna was born on January 3, 1941 in Roseville, Macomb County, Michigan to the late Warren Paul and Ruth Aline (Selsor) Jones. Donna moved to Arizona in 1954 at the age of 13. Throughout her life, Donna was a loving wife and devoted mother to her family. She loved to care for the needs of each member of her family. Donna was an expert seamstress and really knew how to sew. Sewing was a pastime that she not only enjoyed doing alone, but also, enjoyed doing with her dear friends. Too, they would also spend many hours quilting. Several of those quilts are now considered priceless treasures to her family and friends. Donna was preceded in death by her first husband, Donald R. Malmos on April 15, 1985. On August 11, 1990 Donna married Edward John "Bud" Dwyer, Jr. The couple moved to the White Mountains in 2005. She enjoyed the last several years with Bud on the mountain. The beauty of the area brought her much peace and comfort, especially during the final phases of her illness. Donna leaves a legacy of love and will greatly be missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Edward John "Bud" Dwyer, Jr. of Show Low, Arizona; 1 daughter, Rae Dawn (Lance) Hilyard of Peoria, Arizona; 1 son, W. Miles Malmos of Phoenix, Arizona; stepson, Thomas Edward Dwyer of Phoenix, Arizona; 2 brothers: Fred (Peggy) Jones of Big Bear City, California, Wayne (Linda) Jones of Yakima, Washington; 1 sister, Carol (Jerry) Bouslog of Chicago, Illinois and 1 granddaughter, Emily. A memorial Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will begin 2:00 P.M., Saturday, April 28, 2012 at St. Mary of The Angels Catholic Church, 1915 S. Penrod Lane in Pinetop, Arizona. Her family is thankful for all the expressions of sympathy expressed to them and are especially grateful for all the prayers offered up on their behalf.
