Ethel Ina Stancil died in the early morning hours of Sunday, April 1, 2012 at The Carriage House in Snowflake, Navajo County, Arizona from causes incident to her age. She was 75 years old. Ethel was born on February 13, 1937 in Roanoke, Roanoke County, Virginia to the late Woodie and Bernice (Love) Stewart. She worked as an aircraft reproduction technician in the airplane industry for many years. Since moving to White Mountains in 1996, Ethel has made her home in Snowflake. She loved the close-knit family feel of her neighborhood and community. It has been said by many that she truly was "a people person." She loved to socialize, not only with her family but also, her many friends. She saw the goodness in everyone she met and, almost quite literally, knew no stranger. Ethel is survived by her husband, Jerry Stancil of Snowflake, Arizona as well as a host of friends. A special memorial service for Ethel was held, 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at Owens Livingston Mortuary - Heritage Chapel, 84 E. 19th South in Snowflake, Arizona. Greg Bowman, Chaplain of Hospice Compassus officiated at her service.
