Phyllis M. Lusk

February 18, 1933 — March 30, 2012

Phyllis Marie Lusk of Snowflake/Taylor passed peacefully March 30, 2012 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born to Adam and Helen Weber February 18, 1933 in Phoenix, she graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1951. Shortly thereafter she met and married the love of her life Donald Lusk in June of 1952 at St. Agnes Catholic Church. Don and Phyllis were blessed with five children giving rise to a strong loving family. The family moved from Phoenix to Taylor in 1974 where she found and became a devoted member of Our Lady of the Snow Catholic Church. Phyllis an Arizona native was at peace with God and fearless of death. Phyllis loved people; had a genuine "spark" for life and a very generous heart, to know her was to truly love her. Often referred to as "Mom" or" Grandma Great" by family and friends, she volunteered her help to Meals on Wheels, Our Lady of the Snow Flea market, and the Senior Center. If our job on earth is to "love one another as I have loved you" as God asks, this Angel has made him proud. She enjoyed her friends, gardening, going to church, classic country music, and being a member of the Red Hat Ladies to mention a few, and last but not least her children for they were truly her pride and joy. Linda Rogers (Johnny Willis) of Idaho; Don (Vera) Lusk of Snowflake; Karen (Bill) Saunders of Taylor; Mike Lusk; and Pam (Dale) Turley of Snowflake all of whom blessed her with 28 grandchildren, who in turn blessed her with 53 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Because of one special union between two loving people..88 loved ones evolved. She fully enjoyed the many happy summer vacations with her beloved siblings: Carroll (Josie) Weber of California; Frances (Allen) Dillard of Show Low; Betty (Bob) House of Kansas; Phillip Weber; and Helen (Dennis) Poore of California. Loved ones gone on before her include her parents, Adam and Helen Weber; her loving husband of 48 years Donald Lusk; son Mike Lusk; grandson Marcus Rogers; great-granddaughters Alexis Turley, Audrey Hess, and Elizabeth Saunders; great-great grandchild Patsy Cochran. The Rosary will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, April 14, 2012 with the Memorial Mass of Christian Burial following at 11:00 A.M. at Our Lady of The Snow Catholic Church, 1655 S. Main St. Snowflake.
