Douglas Raymond Duncombe passed away peacefully at home from natural causes March 12, 2012 in Pinetop, Arizona. He was 86 years old. Doug was born on June 8, 1925 in Raymond, Alberta, Canada to Lowell and Nellie (Rumble) Duncombe. Doug served in the Pinetop-Lakes Ward as a Sunday School Teacher for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed many years teaching about the Savior to young people who attended Seminary and Institute classes. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty; two children, Karen and Jerry; his parents; brother, Lawrence, sister, Joyce Thompson. He is survived by five daughters: Kathy (Mike) Jensen of South Jordan, Utah; Jean (Wayne) Perkins of Midvale, Utah; Diane (Milt) Jensen of Pinetop, Arizona ; Jo-Ann (Dean) Harmer of Meridian, Idaho; and Linda (John) Harmer of Mesa, Arizona; 18 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren; siblings: Jean (Bill) Nemeth, Eileen Atwood, Wally Duncombe. A visitation will begin at 10:00 AM followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 24, 2012 at the Buck Springs Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 4075 Buck Springs Road, in Pinetop, Arizona. A second funeral service will be held for Doug on Monday March 26, 2012 at 11:00AM at the Daybreak 1st Ward Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3760 W Rushton View Dr., West Jordan, Utah with an additional viewing to be held one hour prior to services. Doug will be laid to rest next to his dear wife, Betty in the West Jordan Cemetery in West Jordan, Utah. Owens Livingston Mortuary of Show Low handled the arrangements.
