Minnie Nachu died Sunday morning, March 4, 2012 at the Whiteriver Indian Hospital in Whiteriver, Navajo County, Arizona following a lengthy illness with many of her family members at her bedside. She was 79 years old. Minnie was born on October 26, 1932 in Cibecue, Navajo County, Arizona to the late Horace and Mary (Loas-Griggs) Gooday. Minnie was a woman of great faith. She was a strong example to her family and many friends by showing them how Christians should live and care for one another. Indeed, she was a woman who followed The Lord's admonition to "Love One Another." Minnie ALWAYS prayed and she regularly encouraged her family to pray along with her and in private. She married her life's love, Samuel Nachu on June 6, 1951. They most recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary together! Besides her family, Minnie also had a great love and fondness for her many cats. They truly will miss her love and sweet and gentle ways. Though she loved her cats, she recognized that her family ALWAYS came first. She was a woman who loved to cook and care for every member of her huge family. She loved them greatly, and, they in turn, loved her just as much!
