William Eugene Probst

William Eugene "Gene" Probst died Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center in Glendale, Maricopa County, Arizona following a lengthy illness. He was 86 years old. Gene was born on February 4, 1926 in Holbrook, Navajo County, Arizona to the late Fredrick Eugene and Elda (Ralston) Probst. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend. As life-long residents of Holbrook, Gene and his wife, Virginia, enjoyed many years of friendship with the Holbrook Community. During World War II, Gene served his country in the United States Army Air Corps. His family was so proud of the sacrifices that he made during those difficult years. Gene is survived by his wife, Virginia of Holbrook, Arizona; 4 daughters: Julie, Debbie, Caroline, Patti; and is also survived by 6 grandchildren. A funeral service celebrating the life of this great man will begin 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 10, 2012 at the First Southern Baptist Church, 360 N. 1st Avenue in Holbrook, Arizona. The concluding service and interment will immediately follow at the Holbrook Cemetery in Holbrook, Arizona.
