Joyce Marie Altaha

Joyce Marie Altaha, age 51 passed away Sunday, February 5, 2012 at the Whiteriver Hospital in Whiteriver, Arizona. She was born May 11, 1960 in Whiteriver to Allen and Lizzie (Pinal) Altaha. Joyce loved to spend time with children. She was a kind, sincere, appreciative and caring woman who had compassion for everyone. Joyce was very active in her church activities helping with all events, especially playing the drums. She loved to tease and give nicknames to family and friends. She is survived by 2 brothers: Cornelius Altaha and Sylvester Altaha, both of Whiteriver, Arizona; 2 sisters: Evelyn Massey and Theresa Altaha both of Whiteriver, Arizona; as well as many nieces and nephews. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Allen and Lizzie Altaha. A wake will begin at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at the family residence in Rainbow City at 2801 N. Alsenay Ave. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 12, 2012 at 1:00 P.m. at the East Fork Grace of God Church in East Fork Burial will follow at the Whiteriver Cemetery. Owens Livingston Mortuary of Show Low handled the services.
