Margaret Julia Larson, affectionately known as Julie by everyone who knew and loved her, passed away on Monday, January 30, 2012. She was 69 years old. Julie was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, daughter and friend. Julie was a strong woman of faith who showed love and kindness to those around her. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Julie served in many callings over the years, including: Relief Society President, Young Women's President, Primary President and was a faithful Visiting Teacher. She lived her life in the service of others and has blessed the lives of many in and around her community. She truly felt that when she was in the service of her fellowman, she was only in the service of her God. Her greatest joy came from being a wife and mother and she loved her family immensely! Julie is survived by: her husband of 48 years, James "Jim" Larson; 10 children: Jodi Stapley, Camille Kempton, Robin Neilson, Mindy Wendelschafer, Jared Larson, Jeff Larson, Danny Larson, Joe Larson, Ben Larson, Matt Larson; 43 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; her mother, Margaret Willis Hamblin; 2 sisters: Cynthia Montgomery, Suzanne Henniger; 3 brothers: Robert Hamblin, Duane Hamblin and Dennis Hamblin. "She will be dearly missed, but we know we will see her again." Julie's funeral service was held 10:00 A.M., Saturday, February 4, 2012 at the Queen Creek Stake Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 19730 E. Ocotillo Road in Queen Creek, Arizona under the auspices of Bueler Chandler Mortuary. Her concluding service and interment will be at 12 Noon, Monday, February 6, 2012 at the R.V. "Mike" Ramsay Memorial Cemetery (corner of 4th South and 4th West) in Snowflake, Arizona under the care of Owens Livingston Mortuary - Heritage Chapel. Memorial contributions in Julie's name to Grace Hospice of Arizona, 2141 E. Broadway Road, Suite #118, Tempe, Arizona 85282 or to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73123-1718 have been suggested by her family. Julie's family is so thankful for all the expressions of sympathies extended to them through thought and deed and are especially grateful for all the prayers offered up in their behalf.
