France Marion Willis

France Marion Willis, age 93, passed away Monday, January 16, 2012 in Snowflake, Arizona. He was born on May 1, 1918 in Snowflake, Arizona to Albert Tillman Willis and Ida Flake Willis. France served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He has been a life long resident of Snowflake, Arizona. He worked as a carpenter for years building many homes in the area. France also worked for the Snowflake School District. He enjoyed dancing, social gatherings, gardening "especially flowers", nature, exploring canyon petroglyphs and life! He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Geneva Rogers Willis on August 25, 2005. He remarried on September 29, 2006 to Myrtle Parker. He is survived by his wife, Myrtle Parker Willis of Mesa, Arizona; 5 children: Arthur Kent (Hazel) Willis of Phoenix, Arizona, Warren Scott (Cathy) Willis of Mustang, Oklahoma, Dana Nelson (Brenda) Willis of Tucson, Arizona, Francine (Steve) Barton of Auburn, Washington and Anthony Lynn (Melissa) Willis of Houston, Texas; 24 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. 5 siblings: Louise Levine of Snowflake, Arizona, Conrad Willis of St. George, Utah, Anita Blair and Christabelle Baker both of Snowflake, Arizona and Kelland Willis of Pleasant Grove, Utah. A visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Friday, January 20, 2012 at Owens Livingston Mortuary ~ Heritage Chapel, 84 E. 19th S. in Snowflake, Arizona. The funeral service will begin 10:00 A.M., Saturday, January 21, 2012 at the Main Street Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 48 N. Main Street in Snowflake, Arizona, where the visitation will begin 1 hour prior to the service. The concluding service and interment will follow at the R.V. "Mike" Ramsay Memorial Cemetery in Snowflake, Arizona.
