Robert Delano "Bob" Lynn died unexpectedly just before the sunrise on Sunday, January 8, 2012 at his home in Snowflake, Navajo County, Arizona. He was 72 years old. Bob was born on March 22, 1939, the oldest of 3 children, in Borger, Hutchinson County, Texas to his parents, the late William Richard and Mary (Corcoran) Lynn. As a young man, Bob joined the United States Marine Corps Reserves and served for 6 years before receiving his honorable discharge. Bob has lived in Arizona for the past 14 years, moving from Dallas, Texas. While living in Dallas, he had a very long and successful career working for American Airlines. He worked with them for nearly 30 years and the last 20 years of his employment there, he worked in their Cargo and Freight Department as an agent and forklift operator. He was an extremely loyal and dependable worker and literally, thousands of people relied on his professionalism over the years. Bob was young at heart. He loved trains; real ones, toy trains and especially model trains. He had a very special artist's touch when it came to his personal train collection. A collection he had for almost 40 years. His wife lovingly refers to him as a Model Train Modeler. His hobby had him collecting trains, building trains and restoring various model trains. These are now considered treasures to his family. Bob had 10 dogs and loved each and everyone as if they were his own children. His dogs were very protective over him; even after death. They, too, miss him greatly and are wondering when he'll be walking back through the gate? Bob married his wife, Rosemary Jo (Price) on March 18, 1990 in Dallas, Texas and, in just a few short months, would have celebrated their 22 wedding anniversary. Bob was a member of the Snowflake First Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Snowflake, Arizona where he made several dear and close friends. Robert Delano Lynn is survived by: his wife, Rosemary Lynn of Snowflake, Arizona; daughter: Naomi (Robert) Pearson of Dallas, Texas; 2 sisters: Ann Kalchbrenner of Dallas, Texas, Kay Villasana of Dallas, Texas; 3 grandchildren: Jonathan Waller, Steven Watts, Chris Watts; Cousin: Linda Vidaurri of Dallas, Texas and by a niece, Heather.
