Ernest Edward Harris, Jr., of Show Low, Navajo County, Arizona passed away December 25, 2011 at his home in Show Low. He was 57. Ernie was born on October 22, 1954 in Globe, Gila County, Arizona to the late Ernest and Laura (Brownfiled) Harris. Ernie enlisted in the United States Air Force before being honorably discharged. Following his time in the service Ernie returned to the White Mountains where he enjoyed the beautiful outdoors. An avid gun enthusiast he loved to hunt and fish. Being in the woods is where Ernie felt most at home. Although a true cowboy through and through, Ernie was a wonderful artist. He enjoyed drawing pictures of the beautiful animals that he would encounter during many of his hunting trips. His family has enjoyed his many gifts of art he made especially for them. A life-long heavy equipment operator he will be missed by all but none more than by his own family. Ernie is survived by a brother, Duane Harris of Show Low, Arizona; sisters, Denise (Greg) Butler of Show Low, Arizona, Palm'L (John) Whitlow of Show Low, Arizona as well as many nieces, nephews extended family members and friends. Memorial services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, January 6, 2011 at the Downtown Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 300 N. 11th Street, Show Low, Arizona with a luncheon to follow.
