Betty John Becenti

July 20, 1933 — December 26, 2011

Funeral services for Betty J. Becenti, 78, who passed on Monday, December 26, 2011 in Holbrook, Arizona, surrounded by her family, will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, December 30, 2011 at the St. Johns Missionary Baptist Church, 803 Lewis Dr. Holbrook, Arizona. A private family burial will follow on a later date. Betty Becenti lived life in a way that most of us say we will do during New Year's resolutions. She has worked most jobs that us grand kids would never do. She mothered our children and their children. She will be remembered to some as the feisty woman that worked at Wayside, the nice woman that worked at El Rancho, the beautiful cleaning lady that worked at the Super 8 Motel, the happy spirited woman that worked at the Hilltop Café or maybe even the sweet lady that went to any church that welcomed her and made her feel at home. She loved the St. Johns Missionary Baptist Church, she would go on Sundays with her granddaughters family up until she just couldn't go anymore. She loved the Lord and was a gracious Christian woman. She was a hardworking, strong, loving and kind woman that will be forever loved and remembered but never forgotten. She was survived by her daughters: Annie Robinson, Marlene Robinson (Chester), Jeanette Becenti and Margorie Watson; one son, Leon John, all of Holbrook, Arizona; Grandchildren: Donna John, John-Michael Robinson (Kandice), Shar Gillespie (Frank), Cheryl Wood (Samual), Johnny Yazzie, Anthony Baldonado (Reanna), Daniel Baldonado (Allison), Brandi Becenti (Weldon), Lavida Becenti, Cynthia Banks (Brook), Michael T. Watson Jr., Christina Watson, and David Watson; twenty-one Great Grandchildren and four Great-Great Grandchildren; sisters: Lillie, Elaine, Dorothy, Gloria and Arlene; brothers: Tillman and Robert. She was preceded in death by her son, Wilson J. Becenti Jr.; her father, Lewis Big John; her mother, Yanabah Johnson and her brothers: Chester John, Bahe John, Stanley John and Raymond John.
