Anthony August Mason

Anthony August Mason, of Overgaard, Navajo County, Arizona passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at his home in Overgaard. Anthony was born on July 17, 1956 in Phoenix, Maricopa County, Arizona to the late Dan and Dolly (Schroder) Mason. Anthony was a Veteran of the United States Navy. Following his time in the military Anthony played professional baseball from 1974-1978. An avid golfer Anthony was well known in the Heber/Overgaard area. He worked as a licensed General Contractor in the Heber/Overgaard communities for over 15 years. A loving husband and wonderful father and grandfather he will be missed by all. He is survived by his wife, Linda Mason of Chandler, Arizona; his son, Mark Mason of Phoenix, Arizona; a daughter, Stacy Mason of Phoenix, Arizona as well as 5 grandchildren and 1 sister. A memorial service will be held at 8:30AM Thursday December 22, 2011 at St. Helens Catholic Church, 5510 W Cholla St Glendale, AZ 85304 with memorial immediately after at 5727 W. Windrose Dr Glendale, AZ 85304 Owens Livingston Mortuary of Show Low handled the arrangements.
