James Arthur Bosley was born to Curtis and Jessie Jackson Bosley on January 29, 1949 in Meadville, Mississippi. He attended school in McNary as well as Holbrook, Arizona. While in school, he played many sports; wrestling being his favorite. James meant something to each and every person he came into contact with. To his sisters and a few others he was known as, "JB". Having such a kind and sweet spirit he shared a smile with everyone that passed by him. As a young man, he would go hunting and fishing to help the family. He was always talking about going fishing and enjoyed life with his close friends and family. Because he loved sports so much he continued boxing as an adult. Eventually, James was privileged to get in the practice ring with world renowned Muhammad Ali. James enjoyed cooking and making his own barbeque sauce. Many of James' occupations consisted of: porter on Santa Fe Railroad Company, cook, bartender, Meals on Wheels, construction and he worked as a sky cab at the airport. There he met many people and was able to engage in his favorite past time, helping others. On Thursday, December 8, 2011 God called James Bosley peacefully home. He was with his family that day, sharing in food, laughter and happiness. He leaves behind his companion of many years, Minnie Breed of Holbrook, Arizona; 3 sisters: Patricia Hollins (Willie Jr.) of Show Low, Arizona, Patsy "Rie" and Shirley Bosley, both of Holbrook, Arizona; 3 nephews: Ifiok "Wiz" Akpan of Phoenix, Arizona, Rasheed Hollins of Flagstaff, Arizona and Samuel Hollins Sr. of Holbrook, Arizona. He also leaves behind Charlie and Melissa Howard for he raised them although he has no natural children. As well as a host of family and friends that will miss him greatly. James was preceded in death by his mother, Geneva Bosley and his father, Curtis Bosley.
