Gregory G. Bowman

Gregory G. Bowman, age 56, went home to be with the Lord after a year and a half battle with cancer on Saturday, December 3, 2011. Gregory served six years in the Untied States Navy. He later worked as a Ford car salesman. Greg was a lifetime member of the Laurel Fire Company in York, Pennsylvania, he was an active member of Circle of Peace Church of the Brethren including the Mighty Men of God Group. Gregory also started the Community of Peace Cancer Support Group at his church to help those dealing with cancer. Gregory loved spending time with his family, especially his granddaughters whom he called angels. Gregory is survived by his wife of 18 years, Diane C. (Hockenberry) Bowman of Peoria, Arizona; children, Gregory G. Bowman, II (Kassie) of Show Low, Arizona, Christopher W. Bowman (Marie) of Glendale Arizona, Kathy D. Scott (Don) of Phoenix, Arizona, Todd R. Klinedinst of Peoria, Arizona, Linnette D. Klinedinst of Phoenix, Arizona, Quinn D. Klinedinst of Lancaster, Pennsylvania. He is the proud pappy of Isabella Bowman (mother-Jamie Bowman) and Dakota Scott. Gregory is also survived by his brothers, Osborne Bowman, Jr. (Sharon) of York, Pennsylvania; Paul H. Bowman (Donna) of York, Pennsylvania, Robert N. Bowman (Linda) of Manchester, Pennsylvania; sister, Julia Leiphart (Paul) of York, Pennsylvania. He was the son of the late Osborne W. Bowman, Sr. and the late Ethel P. (Shaffer) of York, Pennsylvania. Memorial services will be at the convenience of the family.
