Louise Hunt

November 15, 1918 — December 2, 2011

Louise Jackson Hunt was born on November 15, 1918 in Fountain Green, Utah to Henry and Amanda Rozilla Jackson and passed away December 2, 2011 in Snowflake, Arizona. Shortly after her birth her family moved to Provo, Utah as her parents felt like education was very important. Louise was the fifth of seven children, none of which survive her. After Louise graduated from Brigham Young University, she taught high school in Panguich and Milford, Utah. During World War II Louise moved to San Diego, California so that she could be around lots of single men. There she met Max Ray Hunt at a church function. As soon as Max was discharged from the Navy they went to Joseph City, Arizona to meet Max's family, then on to Provo, Utah to meet Louise's family and to Salt Lake City, Utah to be married in the Salt Lake Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She taught school in Show Low, Arizona for 23 years. Max and Louise were blessed with four children all of which survive her: Catherine & David Ellis of Oracle, Arizona, Diane & Lloyd Kriter of Snowflake, Arizona, James & Candy Hunt of Mesa, Arizona and Laurel & Kevin Pederson of Bountiful, Utah. Louise is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Max Ray Hunt and one grandson. The funeral service will begin 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at the Snowflake Stake Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 175 W. 9th South Street in Snowflake, Arizona with the visitation beginning one hour prior. The concluding service and interment will immediately follow at the R.V. "Mike" Ramsay Memorial Cemetery in Snowflake, Arizona. Louise's family would like to thank all of those who have so graciously helped and are especially grateful for your friendship.
