Kearney B. Johnson

Kearney B. Johnson, Jr., of Show Low, Navajo County, Arizona passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family, November 2, 2011 at his home in Show Low. He was 71. Kearney was born in Miami, Gila County, Arizona to the late Kearney and Gladys (Andrews) Johnson. Kearney was a kind and gentle man who never met a stranger and was loved by all. He had a personality that allowed him to engage in a conversation with anybody. Those who know him know that he was truly a generous and sweet man. An avid outdoorsman he loved to hunt and fish. He loved spending time in the woods whether that was next to a beautiful lake or one of his many elk hunts. He enjoyed raising his chickens and his many animals. Kearney was a proud member of the local #469 Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Union where he would have celebrated 50 years next March. Kearney was one of many of his family members who were proud to be involved in this organization and were highly skilled in their trade. He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Beth Johnson of Show Low, Arizona; daughters, Katey (Robert) Kowalewski of Show Low, Arizona, Jackie Norviel of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Carol Fuchs of Altus, Arkansas; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; a sister, Marie McGuire of Mesa, Arizona as well as many extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his daughters, Holly Barnes and Cathy Anderson. A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00PM Friday November 11, 2011 at the Owens Livingston Mortuary~White Mountain Chapel, 320 N. 9th St., Show Low, Arizona. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Saturday November 12, 2011 at the White Mountain Bible Church, 3171 E. Show Low Lake Road, Show Low, Arizona. Interment will follow in the Show Low Cemetery.
