Rex Dean Duhamell

Rex Dean Duhamell, age 74, of Pinetop, Navajo County, Arizona passed away surrounded by his loving family October 14, 2011. Rex was born on October 19, 1936 in Wabash, Wabash County, Indiana to the late Chester and Alta Maye (Branstator) Duhamell. Rex enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in November of 1953. He served during the Korean Conflict before being Honorably Discharged in November of 1956. Following his time in the service Rex was employed for the Pipe Fitters Steam Fitters Trade local union #469 in Phoenix, Arizona where he was employed for 34 years before his retirement. An avid sportsman he loved to fish and hunt. He was a huge NASCAR fan and looked forward to race day on Sundays. He enjoyed the outdoors so much that he would often take long walks with his dogs to enjoy the beautiful White Mountains. A loving husband, father, grandfather and friend he will be dearly missed by all. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Barbara Duhamell of Pinetop, Arizona; his daughters, Diane (Jay) Niver of Pinetop, Arizona, Robin (Reno) Majalca of Tucson, Arizona; a son, Darrel Duhamell of Gilbert, Arizona; granddaughter, Trisha (Steven) Hall of Pinetop, Arizona; grandson, Rick Wheaton of Pinetop, Arizona; great-grandson, Mason Hall of Pinetop, Arizona; 3 sisters and 5 brothers. He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother. A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM Saturday, October 22, 2011 at his home, 1472 Nadean Lane, Pinetop, Arizona.
