Victoria Hanna Gooday, of Cibecue, Navajo County, Arizona passed away peacefully September 20, 2011 in Show Low, Navajo County, Arizona. She was 78. Victoria was born on October 16, 1932 in Cibecue, Arizona to the late Ingellis and Elma (Way) Hanna. Victoria loved to make crafts. She was especially gifted in the art of weaving, sewing and making cradle boards. She loved to cook and enjoyed picking acorns in her spare time. She was very hands on and even built her own Wikiup. Throughout her lifetime she sponsored 3 Sunrise Dances and was known to carry on the traditional Apache ways. A loving person she will be missed by all whom knew her best. She is survived by her daughters, Marilyn Johnson of Cibecue, Arizona, Sylvia (Tyler) Tessay of Cibecue, Arizona, Juanita Gooday of Cibecue, Arizona, Edwardine Gooday of Cibecue, Arizona, Elizabeth (Walter) Williams of Hobbs, New Mexico; son, Edward (Lamberta) Gooday of Canyon Day, Arizona; 26 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; Goddaughters, Velva Henry, Sharon Gatewoods, Rosalita Skidmore; brother, Lee Hanna of Cibecue, Arizona as well as many extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice; a daughter, Jolinda and a son, Maurice, Jr.. A two night wake will be held at 10:00AM Thursday, September 29, 2011 at her home, 14 S. Dale Dr., Cibecue, Arizona. Home services will be held at 1:00PM Saturday, October 1, 2011. Interment will follow in the Red Mountain Cemetery in Cibecue, Arizona.
