Cecil Forrest Berno

Cecil Forrest Berno, age 74, passed away on Wednesday September 21, 2011 at his home in Lakeside, Navajo County, Arizona. He was born in Northfield, Washington County, Vermont on January 22, 1937 to Forrest and Alvina (Pappino) Berno. Cecil proudly served in the United States Navy. His Naval career spanned 20 years which included 2 tours of duty in Vietnam during the Vietnam War, and also a tour of duty on the Presidential Yacht during the Presidents Kennedy and Johnson era. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 1 sister. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mary Berno; his 4 children and their spouses as well as 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Cecil will be greatly missed by his family and friends. In accordance with his wishes there will be no memorial service.
