Johnny Tom Spencer of Indian Wells, Navajo County, Arizona passed away September 7, 2011 in Phoenix, Maricopa County, Arizona surrounded by his loving family. He was 71. Johnny was born on February 22, 1940 in Indian Wells, Navajo County, Arizona to the late Tony and Rena (Greymountain) Spencer. Johnny was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps having served 2 years before being Honorably Discharged from the service. Johnny is survived by his wife, Nora Spencer of Indian Wells, Arizona; son, Virgil Spencer of Holbrook, Arizona; sister, Sylvia Spencer Benally of Show Low, Arizona; brother, Leroy James (Sarah) Spencer of Navajo, Arizona; sister-in-law, Rosie (Francis) Begay; aunt, Eleanor Greymountain; cousins, Marlene (Tom) Yazzie, Ann Barton, Lou Spencer, Raymond Begay. He was preceded in death by his brother, Lawrence Spencer and sister, Gloria Mae Spencer. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday September 14, 2011 at the Holbrook Pentecostal Church of God, 823 Mission Lane, Holbrook, Arizona. Interment will follow in the Holbrook Cemetery.
