Nancy Busby Fish, age 69, of Lakeside died Aug. 23, 2011, at her home in Lakeside after a ten year battle with cancer. She was born in Tucson, Pima Country, Arizona on September 20, 1941, to Dorrity & Shirley Busby. Nancy grew up in Tucson, where she met her husband, while they were attending the University of Arizona. She married Ferrell Fish on June 3, 1960 in the Mesa Arizona Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They moved to Lakeside in the fall of 1961. She loved Lakeside, the beauty here and the people. Her life was spent in service to her family, community, and church. She will be genuinely missed. Nancy worked for many years as an assistant Librarian at Larson Memorial Library, in Lakeside, Arizona. She and her husband served a welfare service mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Romania from March 2004 to September 2005. Nancy is survived by her husband, Ferrell of Lakeside, Arizona; seven children: Joan Pearce (Joy T.) of Linden, Arizona, Kathryn Gomez (Marcio) of Lakeside, Arizona, Janet Russell (Ron) of Tucson, Arizona, Beverly Wilcock (Blaine) of Lakeside, Arizona, David Fish (Cami) of Lakeside, Arizona, Paul Fish (Alicia) of Lakeside, Arizona, and Jonathan Fish (Sherry) of Mesa, Arizona; three sisters: Dorothy Johnson of Milford, Texas, Donna McGee of Taylor, Arizona, and Darlene Durrant of Lakeside, Arizona; one brother: Joe Busby (Tonia) of Thatcher, Arizona; thirty-one grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers Eugene and Billy Dee. A viewing will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Friday, August 26, 2011 at Owens Livingston Mortuary - White Mountain Chapel, 320 N. 9th Street in Show Low and one hour prior to services at the church. Funeral Services will begin at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, August 27, 2011 at the Lakeside Stake Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Lakeside. Owens Livingston Mortuary, of Show Low, is handling the arrangements.
