Donald Phillip Sterbutzel

Donald Phillip Sterbutzel, Sr. of Show Low, Navajo County, Arizona passed away Saturday August 19, 2011 at his home in Show Low. He was 59. Donald was born October 6, 1951 in McClellandtown, Fayette County, Pennsylvania to the late Robert Leo Sterbutzel, Sr. and Mary Margert (Phillip) Sterbutzel. Donald attended the German Township High School in McClellandtown Pennsylvania where he was the high school wrestling champ. Following high school Donald served in the Air Force for 4 years and served 6 months in Germany. Donald worked as a heavy equipment operator for many years and enjoyed operating all types of machinery. He had a passion for stock car racing and raced a late model and modified at Thunder Raceway here in Show Low. A wonderful and humble man he will be missed by all but none more than by his family. He is survived by his sons, Donald Phillip Sterbutzel II of Show Low, Arizona, Andrew James Sterbutzel of Show Low, Arizona; granddaughter, Kaydance Renee Sterbutzel of Show Low, Arizona; siblings, Ray (Wendy) Sterbutzel of Boise, Idaho, Robert Leo (Patricia Ann) Sterbutzel, Jr. of McClellandtown, Pennsylvania, Kenneth Dale Sterbutzel of Uniontown, Pennsylvania, Carl Edward (Judith Rae) Sterbutzel of McClellandtown, Pennsylvania, Mary Margert Matzus of Uniontown, Pennsylvania, R. Richard Sterbutzel of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, Lois Ann Layhew of McClellandtown, Pennsylvania, William James Sterbutzel of McClellandtown, Pennsylvania, Vincent Keith Sterbutzel of Florida, David Allen (Wilma) Sterbutzel of Westly Chapel, Florida; 7 nieces and 11 nephews. Funeral services will be held 11:00AM Wednesday August 24, 2011 at the Owens Livingston Mortuary~White Mountain Chapel, 320 N. 9th St., Show Low, Arizona. Interment will follow in the Show Low Cemetery.
