Robert Jared Marchant, known as Jared by friends and family, died Sunday, July 24, 2011 in Mesa, Arizona. He was born in Sheridan, Wyoming to Pamela and Robert Marchant on May 12, 1983. His interests and passions were electronics and gadgets, fishing, rock climbing and collecting arrowheads. He enjoyed many friends and loved being around people. Jared lived in San Diego, California for several years and was fond of the people, the environment and the beach. Jared made frequent trips to visit his friends in San Diego and to visit his favorite place in the world...Sunset Cliffs. He liked nothing better than to jump off the cliffs into the ocean with his mom or with his friends. Jared loved spending time with his son, Aidan and was looking forward to the birth of another child in November. Jared had a huge heart. He was unfailingly kind and compassionate. Friends called him "the protector". His love and care for all things helpless made him a champion of women and children. Friends say he would help others before he would help himself. His sense of humor and fun and his ability to make others laugh endeared him to all who know him. He had a knack for playing with and on words. It was impossible to stay upset with him. Jared is survived by his mother, Pamela; father, Robert; grandparents, Les and Vicki Benner and Marjorie and Gilbert Marchant; fiancee, Tianna Murphy; their unborn child and his son, Aidan James Marchant.
