Thomas Moody

Thomas Moody, of Whiteriver, Navajo County, Arizona was born on March 2, 1923 in Whiteriver and entered into eternal rest on Saturday July 16, 2011 at the Whiteriver Hospital. He was 88 years old. Thomas was a quiet and friendly person who loved his family very much especially his daughters and grandchildren. He was a strong minded person who would always put his family first. Thomas loved to hunt and fish and in his younger years this provided for his family. He loved the outdoors and made sure he was always outside working and chopping wood to keep him self busy. He loved the monsoon season and loved to watch the rain. He retired from the Fort Apache Timber Company in Whiteriver, Arizona where he was a lumberman. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1943. Tomas will be missed by all but none more than by his family. He is survived by his daughters, Amal (Paul) Israel of Whitervier, Arizona and Jean Moody of Whiteriver, Arizona; step-daughter, Delta Key of East Fork, Arizona; step-son, Max Aday of Whiteriver, Arizona; grandchildren, Javis and Pamela Davis, Kelly Casillas, Bethlehem and Philbert Ivins, Jr Beth Ivins all of Whiteriver, Arizona; great-grandchildren, Cian Davis, Antone Israel, Janaya Davis, Angelo Ivins as well as 28 other great-grandchildren; nieces, Marina Aday, Mary L. Quesada, Berlinda Edwards, Melita Burnette, Vivian Suttle; in-law, Allen Aday of Seven Mile, Arizona as well as many extended family members and friends. His body will be brought back for a 2 night wake at Paul Israel's residence, 1775 S. Wild Horse Ave., Whiteriver, Arizona at 10:00AM Thursday July 21, 2011. Home services will be held 1:00PM Saturday July 23, 2011. Interment will follow at the Seven Mile Hill Cemetery in Seven Mile, Arizona.
