Betty N., Begay

Betty M. Begay passed away on Friday, July 15, 2011 in Flagstaff, Arizona. She was born December 18, 1931 in Ganado, Arizona into the Honey Comb Rock People for the Water Edge Clan. Betty was a homemaker, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sheepherding she and was affiliated with Navajo Station Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include her daughters, Bernice Begay of Phoenix, Arizona, Naomi M. Begay of Navajo Station, Arizona; her son, Christopher Begay of Navajo Station, Arizona; brother, Kee Crawford of Tube City, Arizona; 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, Tas Bah Begay of Navajo Station, Arizona and father, Bitter Waterboy of Chambers, Arizona. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at the Faith Assembly of God Church 311 E. Earl, Holbrook, Arizona. Burial will be at the Holbrook Cemetery. A farewell dinner will be held at the same location as the service. Owens Livingston Mortuary of Holbrook handled the arrangements.
