Jessie Mae Hillebert, who has been nearly a lifelong resident of Holbrook, passed away Saturday with her daughter-in-law by her side. Jessie was born December 12, 1918, in Bard, California. Her family moved to Yuma, Arizona soon after where they stayed until 1935 when they moved to Holbrook. She married Jack Winfred Hillebert in 1937 and had 45 wonderful years with him, until his passing in 1982. She has two daughters, Diane (Mickey) Johnson of Forest Grove, Oregon, and Frances (Byrl) Williams of Pleasanton, California; one son, Win (Diana) of Oakley, California; 8 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Jessie was a lifelong member of the Holbrook United Methodist Church. She was also very active in Eastern Star for over 50 years where she held every office, many of them many times as well as state assemblies and state offices. She was active in the Red Hatters Society, Holbrook Hospital Auxiliary and many other Charitable Organizations. A visitation will be held Wednesday, July 13, 2011 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.m. at Owens Livingston Mortuary-Holbrook Chapel 409 N. 1st. Ave., Holbrook, Arizona. Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M. Thursday, July 14, 2011 at the Holbrook United Methodist Church 118 W. Arizona, Holbrook, Arizona. Interment will be at the Holbrook Cemetery. The family has requested that memorial contribution be made to the Holbrook Senior Center of the Holbrook United Methodist Church in her name. Owens Livingston Mortuary of Holbrook handled the arrangements.
