Raymond Kanuho died Thursday, June 30, 2011 at his home in Holbrook, Navajo County, Arizona with his loving family at his side. He was 69 years old. Raymond was born on June 1, 1942 in Indian Wells, Navajo County, Arizona to the late Harvey and Jane (Bain) Kanuho. He was a well liked young man and excelled in his school work and received and Associates Degree. He worked as a tax preparer for the IRS' Auditing Department and worked well with all of his co-workers. His quiet, unassuming and gentle ways will be missed by the many who called him: husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Raymond is survived by: his loving wife, Shirley Kanuho of Holbrook, Arizona; 4 children: Roscoe Kanuho of Holbrook, Arizona, Cherlynn Kanuho of Holbrook, Arizona, Enrique Kanuho of Holbrook, Arizona, Debbie Kanuho-Haley of Glendale, Arizona; 1 brother, Virgil Rogers of Phoenix, Arizona; 2 sisters: Sarah Charles of Phoenix, Arizona, Dorothy Bradley of Los Angeles, California and 11 grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Raymond was preceded in death by 2 sons: Ricky Kanuho and Alexander Kanuho; a brother, Jimmie Kanuho as well as an aunt, Lillie Thomas. Raymond's funeral service will begin promptly at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at Faith Assembly of God, 311 E. Erie Street in Holbrook, Arizona. The concluding service and interment will immediately follow at the Holbrook Cemetery in Holbrook, Arizona. The family is grateful to everyone who have extended their sympathies to them through both thought and deed and are especially thankful for all the prayers offered up on their behalf.
