Harry Woods Teel, passed away June 22, 2011 at home due to complications of old age and a long battle with Leukemia. He was born on August 21, 1923 in Wright City, Oklahoma to parents Lesley Teel and Leah Hunt Teel. He moved to Maverick, Arizona in 1949 then Lakeside, Ariozna in 1962 where he has lived since. Harry worked for Southwest Forest in McNary and the Apache Railway as a Road Master. He was proud to live in the White Mountains and made many different contributions to this area such as helping build baseball fields and football fields on for Blue Ridge and one in Show Low. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing here in the White Mountains. He is survived by his four children; Larry Joe (Carla) Teel of Linden, Robert Louis (Simone) Teel of Show Low, Carolyn Teel of Show lw, Mary Wunderlich of Colorado; 2 sisters, Irene Barns of Show Low, Leslie Lensteader of California; 8 grandchildren, Donna Hansen, Louis Teel, Tanner Teel, Nickolas Amos, Amanda Ricketts, Jeremiah Ricketts, Stewart Teel; and Shelby Teel as well as 11 great-grandchildren. Harry is preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Teel; brothers, Louis Teel, Jim Teel, Steven Teel; sister, Agnes Teel. A memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M., August 20, 2011 at the Grace Church 700 S. 19th Ave., Show Low, Arizona.
