Ronald Wayne Harris

October 27, 1941 — June 20, 2011

Ronald Wayne Harris, of Linden, Navajo County, Arizona, passed away June 20, 2011 at Summit Healthcare Regional Medical Center. He was 69. Ronald was born October 27, 1941 in Phoenix, Maricopa County, Arizona to the late James and Vada (Stokes) Harris. Ronald was a true American Patriot. He served in the United States Coast Guard and enjoyed his time in the service. While serving he was able to see many different parts of this great nation before being discharged in 1961. During the 70's and 80's Ronald worked in Alaska operating heavy equipment before becoming a welder on the pipe line. Although for just a short time he enjoyed the beauty and wildlife Alaska has to offer. An true outdoorsman he loved to hunt, fish and shoot. He will be missed by all. Ronald is survived his wife of nearly 50 years, Jane Harris of Linden, Arizona; daughters, Lori (Wally) Harris-Litewski of Waddell, Arizona, Elizabeth Harris-Frias of Texas; his "JRT" Patch; 3 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and many extended family members and friends. Memorial services will be held 10:00AM Saturday July 2, 2011 at the Calvary Chapel of the White Mountains, 2879 Rainbow Lake Drive, Lakeside, Arizona. Inurnment will take place at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, Arizona at 9:00AM Thursday July 7, 2011 with military honors rendered by the Coast Guard.
