Sarah Williams Shabi

Sarah Williams Shabi of White Cone, Apache County, Arizona passed away Saturday, May 28, 2011 at the Payson Care Center. She was 82 years old. Sarah was born July 3, 1928 in Steamboat, Arizona to Alfred and Annie (Begay) Williams. Sarah loved being in the outdoors and worked as a rancher. She enjoyed going to her grandchildren's sporting events and going to rodeos. For 15 years she was a foster grandparent and the children loved her and will miss her dearly. Sarah is survived by her 7 children: Mary Todachine of Black Mesa, Arizona, Louise Askie of Window Rock, Arizona, Bernita Platero of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Jerry Shabi of White Cone, Arizona, Lester Shabi of White Cone, Arizona, Calvin Shabi of White Cone, Arizona and Raymond Shabi of White Cone, Arizona; 32 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Mary Peterson of White Cone, Arizona; 4 brothers: Louis Williams of White Cone, Arizona, Leroy Williams of White Cone, Arizona, Melvin Williams of White Cone, Arizona; Larry Williams of Upper Fruitland, New Mexico. The funeral service will begin 10:00 A.M. June 2, 2011 at the Assembly of God Church, 311 E. Erie St., Holbrook. The concluding services and burial will follow at the Holbrook Cemetery.
