Telajo "Mono" Colelay, of Whiteriver, Navajo County, Arizona passed away suddenly following a brief illness April 20, 2011 at the Whiteriver IHS. He was 34. Mono was born June 29, 1976 in Phoenix, Maricopa County, Arizona to Jasper and Lucivia (Massey) Colelay, Sr. On February 18, 1997 Mono enlisted in the US Navy in Phoenix, Arizona where he served on the USS Mt. Vernon. He served 4 years before being honorably discharged on February 21, 2001 in San Diego, California. An avid outdoorsman he loved to hunt and fish. He also enjoyed playing video games with his two beautiful daughters. He is survived by his wife, Anita Colely ; 2 daughters, Charmaine and Aneisia Colelay; his mother, Lucivia Colelay of; sisters, Henrietta (Everette) Colelay George, Lucinda Sue (Timothy Cosay, Sr.) Daley, EvaMarie Lupe; brothers, Jasper (Evonne) Colelay, Jr., Jas Lucas Colelay and Bryanson Kane. He was preceded in death by his father, Jasper J. Colelay, Sr.; nephew, Garrison George as well as 2 cousins, Timothy Dean Cosay and Loren Suttle. A two night wake will begin at 10:00AM Thursday, April 28, 2011 at his home, 205 W. Willow, Whiteriver, Arizona. Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM Saturday, April 30, 2011 at the Canyon Day Miracle Church with Bishop Leroy Tate officiating. Interment will follow in the Whiteriver Cemetery.
