Michael George Czarnecki, of Show Low, Navajo County, Arizona passed away April 12, 2011 at his home. He was 59. Michael was born on Christmas Day in 1951 to George M. and Betty Jean (Lashbaugh) Czarnecki in Hammond, Lake County, Indiana. Michael grew up in Calumet City, Illinois where he attended TF North High School before joining the US Army in 1970. He faithfully served his country for 2 years before being honorably discharged from the service. A friend to all he never met a stranger. A "Free Spirit" he loved to travel the county and was known to many as the "King of the Road." The last 10 years he lived in Show Low where he was a caregiver to his loving mother. An avid outdoorsman he loved to fish more than anything else. Although he never had any children himself, he was a faithful dog lover who considered many of them as his children. He is survived by his mother, Betty Jean Czarnecki of Show Low, Arizona; a brother, Dennis (Patti) Czarnecki of Homer-Glen, Illinois; a sister, Connie (Jay) Pringle of Show Low, Arizona; a nephew, Ben Pringle of Portland, Oregon as well as 2 nieces, Molly Pringle of Portland, Oregon and Sara Czarnecki, of Chicago, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his father, George M. Czarnecki in 2004. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
