Theresa Vera Martorana

Theresa Vera "Susie" Martorana, died Wednesday, March 2, 2011 in Payson, Gila County, Arizona. She was 63 years old. Susie was born on February 13, 1948 in Holbrook, Navajo County, Arizona to the late Benjamin Joseph and Theresa (Marquez) Wade. She lived her entire life in Holbrook and was a loving homemaker to her family. She truly enjoyed spending her time in the service of others. One of Susie's favorite things to do was going to yard sales. She loved shopping at yard sales and was always on the "lookout" for a great bargain. Susie loved gifts. She was generous in her giving and received a great deal of joy as she gave countless gifts to others. She also gave of her time and talents to those in need without being asked. This attribute truly set her apart from others and it made her happy. This beautiful lady will be missed by many but none will miss her more than her family. Susie is survived by: her daughter, Jackie Walker of Holbrook, Arizona; son, Jerry Martorana, Sr. of Holbrook, Arizona; sister, Patricia Wade of Atlanta, Georgia; 2 brothers: John Ray Wade of Phoenix, Arizona, Johnny Perilli of Holbrook, Arizona; 3 grandchildren: Desiree Walker, Jerry Martorana, Jr. and Mary Jane Martorana. In addition to her parents, Susie was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Martorana; daughter, Julie Martorana; and 2 brothers: Benny Wade and Donald Wade. The public visitation for Susie will be from 12:00 Noon to 12:45 P.M. at Owens Livingston Mortuary - Holbrook Chapel, 409 N. 1st Avenue in Holbrook, Arizona. The graveside service will immediately follow at 1:00 P.M. at The Holbrook Cemetery where Sister Esther will officiate. Her family publicly acknowledges and appreciates all the kindnesses extended to them through thought and deed during this difficult time and are grateful for all the prayers offered on their behalf.
